Atmosphere: Views are great. We requested a window seat. We could see sogo from here.
Service: Is pretty good
Directions: The main entrance is at Johnston Road not Hennesssy Road. You can exit A3 or A4, but i think A3 is better, then you walk along the tram line until you see Hokkaido Dairy Farm, there is an escalator beside a Japanese snack shop, go up the escalator, take the lift to 31st Floor.
Restaurant opening hours/address:
31st Floor, Rooftop bar, Hennessy Road 6pm til late. or 1145-230pm
**Always check for the latest restaurant address as they tend to relocate often.**
After a hard day at work, I came here expecting a pretty good standard. But I was so disappointed or maybe because Morton steakhouse was just too good for anybody in the game to beat.
The champagne cocktail was nice though. So I think next time, when its not raining, I might just pop into their open air rooftop bar. Bar sure has stunning views.
For starters, we had tuna tartare, it has a nice twist to it, has a hint of wasabi to it. But there was no need for thin baked pasta slice in between.
My curry scallops felt like it needed a bit of acidity to it. Curry was not overpowering which was good. I like the cauliflower puree, tastes a bit like mashed potatoes. But this dish was lacking in flavor to me.
For mains, we had Steak Diane which has a super hard biscuit that its sitting on that is very hard to cut into and did nothing for the dish.
And I had beef wellington, pastry was alight. Overall, dish was average, lacking in flavour. Although I requested for medium it looked more medium rare.
The sides was awful. The asparagus was well grilled. But the hollandaise sauce was just too thick, almost like mustard sauce! So wrong.
The spinach with mushroom was not soft enough and it lacked of seasoning. There was no taste. Disappointing.
I love my souffles and I thought this was but still cant compare to Morton steakhouse. Not recommended to try this. The grand marnier taste was not really there and was a bit on the heavy side compared to the ideal light and fluffy. The bread and butter pudding was too stodgy. Vanilla ice cream was nice.
